Besides the fact that we like the visual and audible aesthetics of both variations of the name ("Jack" and "Jackson"), here are 5 things that provided some inspiration:

3. Johnny Cash - recognized his own depravity and his need for redemption, cared about the untouchables, loved hard, one-of-a-kind, died a legend, sang the song "Jackson."
4. C.S. Lewis (known to his friends and family as "Jack") - prolific writer, integrated reason and imagination, felt both deep suffering and deep joy at the same time, looks cool smoking a pipe.
