5 Things: Great Lines from Braveheart

We watched Braveheart yesterday. Here are five great lines from the movie:

1. Malcolm Wallace, speaking to his young son, William:
"It is not our strength, but our wits that make us men."
2. William Wallace, speaking with Robert the Bruce, pleading with him to lead the Nobles in supporting the Scottish revolution:
"Nobles. Now tell me, what does that mean to be noble? Your title gives you claim to the throne of our country, but men don't follow titles, they follow courage."
3. Wallace, interrupting negotiations between the King's men and Scotland's leaders:
"Here are Scotland’s terms: Lower your flags and march straight back to England. Stopping at every home you pass by to beg forgiveness for 100 years of theft, rape and murder. Do that, and your men shall live. Do it not, and every one of you will die today."
4. Wallace, speaking to his army, many of whom want to retreat from battle:
"Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"
5. Wallace, responding to the Princess's plea for him to pledge allegiance to the King of England in order to spare his life:
"Every man dies, not every man really lives."

My ALL time favorite movie! If I'm flipping channels and run across it, I'm hooked every time even though I've seen it many times.
