Introducing Eva

I've been listening to the music of Eva Cassidy for the last month or so. The more I listen to her music, the more I enjoy it. Rare mix of blues, jazz, smooth pop. Excellent vocals, haunting at times, with simple arrangements (usually just a piano or guitar). I'm especially enjoying her cover songs (Fields of Gold, Time After Time, Over the Rainbow, At Last, Ain't No Sunshine, and more).

Here are some good songs to get a feel for her style:

Fields Of Gold - cover of a Sting song ... I think I like her version better.
Tall Trees In Georgia ... one of Ella's favorites
Kathy's Song (Album Version) - smooth melody, like a female Paul Simon
Summertime (Album Version) - jazzy, full of "vocal attitude"
