Thanks to those of you who contributed your ideas on how to cook the duck. I enjoyed each submission, but no one impressed me more than Eric Crawford. While I didn't follow his recipe exactly, I used his preparation suggestions and other generally made-up ideas.Congratulations, Eric, you win the free duck. Let me know when you return from Iraq and I'll send the little quacker to you.

Oh heck yeah. You can ship it Iraq. I'll be expecting it in July if you ship it tomorrow. Hot dang. You are officially invited, or should I say, I am officially invited to your house to cook said duck sometime after I come back home. Maybe I'll cook a meal for your small group and give you an update on my trip at the same time. What dost thou think?
And by the way. You never did give commentary on how the duck turned out. And was that your first time eating jicama? Gotta say, I've never had it cooked before. Sounds good though.
